Digital Film Tools releases EZ Mask V3
Digital Film Tools, developer of visual effects software, has released EZ Mask v3.0, an interactive image masking tool capable of extracting almost any object in an image, even fine hair detail, smoke, or reflections. EZ Mask iteratively estimates the transparency value for every pixel in the image, based on a small sample of foreground (what you want to cut out) and background pixels marked by simple strokes on the image. This new version supports not only Photoshop, but Lightroom as well. Feature highlights include stroke-based masking, the ability to extract almost any object in an image, an interactive Refine mode to finesse the mask, edge color estimation, which prevents fringing and enables a seamless composite. One EZ Mask license will allow it to run in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom if installed on the same machine.
